As someone that suffers from several chronic autoimmune diseases, I am always down for trying out products and gadgets that help with inflammation. Some of these protocols aren't always the best tasting, but I have found one really easy routine that helps start your day off right.
Daily Lemon Water Routine
Step 1: Add half of fresh squeezed lemon to 8 ounces of warm or hot water.
Step 2: Drink warm lemon water first thing in the morning (empty stomach) before any other foods or beverages.
A common and versatile citrus fruit, lemons contain a high source of vitamin C. They have immense health benefits ranging from its antibacterial and antiviral properties to its immune boosting abilities. Additionally, they act as a detoxifying agent that helps cleanse the liver and helps aid in the digestive process.

Lemons are also a rich source of potassium, calcium, phosphorus, and magnesium.
Lemon juice with warm water helps in quick weight loss as it promotes digestion and increases the metabolic rate.
Lemon’s anti-inflammatory properties help in fighting respiratory tract infections, sore throat and inflammation of tonsils.

As we head into the cooler, winter months where our immune systems are easily attacked. Take one step ahead and try out this routine for at least 2 weeks and take note of the positive changes it can have on your system.
